Yes. If you are the ultimate social organizer and are in charge of organizing all of your friends, bring your party to ours and earn a few free tickets! The group ticket packages are outlined below.
Groups of 10+ (Tickets MUST be Purchased on the Same Order)
Buy 10+ on the same order and get one free (Order 11+ and the your free ticket taken off at check out)
Buy 20+ on the same order and get 2 free tickets (Order 22+ and 2 free tickets taken off at check out)

Have a large entourage but don’t want to put everyone’s ticket on your credit card? Your group must qualify with 15 tickets purchased to qualify for the free ticket. Purchasers will credit you by putting your name or your group name in the “comments section” on the credit page. We will track your orders and check in with you a week before the event to communicate your full number of free tickets you will receive your organizing your group!

It’s unlikely, as every year Resolution Ball SELLS OUT days in advance of the event. We expect to sell out well before New Year’s Eve so get your tickets early!

Unless your ticket is at will call you won’t get in! Tickets and a valid ID are absolutely required for all attendees – No Exceptions!
Just like any concert at the Fillmore, all ticket sales to the Resolution Ball are final and there are NO REFUNDS. If you cannot attend and you have purchased your tickets via Live Nation/Ticketmaster simply give or sell your printed or printable tickets to another guest.
If you purchased your tickets from the Resolution Ball website/The Social Connection your tickets will be mailed to you and you will be able to sell or give them to another guest. If you purchase your tickets after December 20th and your tickets are being held at will call you can do a name change by sending your request in writing to email@example.com by noon on December 30th.
The countdown to NYE is fast approaching and there are all kinds of incentives to buy early. Yes, although tables won’t be assigned or guaranteed. The Fillmore, as well as the State Bar, offer seating and cabaret-style tables for guests who need to rest between trips to the bar, food stations, and dance floors, but with our entertainment line-up you won’t spend much time sitting! We recommend the VIP ticket and arriving early to stake your claim.
Yes! The only guaranteed reserved seating are the skyboxes on the Mezzanine level along with several VIP sections on the main floor. VIP Open Seating – All VIP guests will have access to the Mezzanine level theatre seats that overlook the main floor, as well as access to the 3rd & 4th level Lounges with extra private VIP Bars and over 1000 theatre style seats! Grab a cocktail, rest your feet, and enjoy the show.
Our VIP ticket is the hottest ticket in town for 14+ years running and the event is usually sold out by mid-December so don’t delay… if you snooze you’ll lose, so get your tickets early!
You sure can, but it’s limited to only 8 skyboxes (these are the opera boxes from days of the distant past) overlooking the dance floor. Skyboxes afford you the best seats in the house to watch the show, dance in your booth, or rest your feet and chill out from dancing all night. The skyboxes typically host 8-15 guests (8-10 seated), but seriously, if you are sitting you are not at the right party! You can invite your entourage to stop by and party at “your place”.

#1 – Reserve your skybox for $750 (reserve early, prices go up!) in addition to your tickets. This includes 2-3 bottles of Korbel Champagne. VIP tickets purchased separately. This is a great option if you have less than 10 guests or you want all of your “booth buddies) to purchase their tickets separately so you don’t have to front their tickets on your credit card.
#2 – The complete VIP package with skybox and 10 VIP All-Access tickets start at $1500 if you buy early. Skyboxes will sell at $1,750 and $1,950.

The Fillmore’s exclusive Mezzanine level offers the perfect option for those wanting a premium experience on New Year’s Eve with a spectacular view of the main dance floor and full access to all the party has to offer. VIP Guests will enjoy preferred entry, shorter lines, private gourmet food stations, a 7-hour premium bar package, a complimentary champagne reception, midnight blast with all of the countdown festivities, midnight buffet with pizza, coney’s, and sliders, as well as 4 private bars and plentiful seating on the Mezzanine and Lounge level’s theater seating area.
Our premium bar package is second to none! Since “open bars” are legally not allowed in Michigan, we distribute drink tickets that are redeemable for any beverage of your choice for the specified times. There is ample time and ample drink tickets for you to enjoy both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the event – your choice. VIP guests will enjoy a 7-Hour Bar Package with 12 drink tickets. NYE Party Pass guests will enjoy a 5.5-Hour Bar Package with 9 drink tickets. 1 Drink Ticket is redeemable for 1 cocktail, beer, wine or non-alcoholic beverage of your choice.
There’s no right or wrong answer here as there is a ticket for everyone! With a VIP or Party Pass ticket you will enjoy a champagne fountain reception upon arrival. For those wanting more, a VIP ticket will gain you access to the Private VIP Mezzanine level for gourmet hors d’oeuvres from 8-9:30pm. Arriving early ensures an opportunity to secure prime seating as well as access to 4 private VIP bars on the Mezzanine and Lounge levels.

To avoid lines upon arrival this year COAT CHECK IS COMPLIMENTARY FOR ALL GUESTS — Happy New Year! Please tip your coat-check staff– they are working hard on NYE to ensure you have a flawless evening. Shuttle buses will be heated so you can consider leaving your coat in your hotel room and avoid coat check all together.
There are ample parking structures and reasonably priced public parking lots across the street, along the side street of Elizabeth and within 3 blocks of The Fillmore. If you stay at one of our host hotels (see the Hotel Page for details) — take the free shuttle buses… it’s easy, safe and convenient!
You Bet! The Fillmore Detroit has some of the most skilled bar staff around. They are bartending professionals and there will be over 25 bartenders at 9 bars available to serve you!
The Resolution Ball always draws an upscale crowd of young professionals mostly in their 20’s and 30’s from all corners of the country. It’s a great mix of singles and couples and an even male to female ratio.
The Main Floor and Mezzanine/upper levels of The Fillmore have a capacity of 1,950 guests. Ticket sales for The Resolution Ball will be limited to only 1,650 guests to offer our guests a premier New Year’s Eve Experience. We hope you are one of them!
Approximately 48 hours before the event, a detailed confirmation email will be sent to purchasers outlining important things to know for event arrival, check-in, and any special details that you should be aware of prior to arriving.
When you purchase your tickets from the Resolution Ball website your receipt will be emailed to you. If you do not get a receipt, please check your spam folder. If you are unable to locate it please call our office at 248.543.1000.
When you purchase at ResolutionBallDetroit.com you will receive a receipt for your purchase. All orders purchased on or before 12/22/2016 will be mailed to the address on your order. Tickets purchased on December 23-31 will be held at will-call for pick up at the Fillmore upon your arrival. Will Call (located inside the Fillmore’s main doors) when the doors open. All tickets will be under the name of the purchaser – ID and receipt are required.
Tickets will be mailed out 12/23/16 to the address on your order. If you will not be at your billing address during this time be sure to send us an email with an alternate mailing address where you will be between Christmas and NYE or request your order to be held at will-call.
NOTE: All orders with Canadian Addresses will be held at Will Call under the purchaser’s name.
